Being a Friend

Little Princess : Mommy, today I play with Freddy.
Mommy : Really?
Little Princess : Yes!!
Mommy : Other friends still don’t want to play with him?
Little Princess : Yeah.
Mommy : So why you?
Little Princess : Because he has no one to play with.
Mommy : Are you afraid others won’t play with you anymore because you play with Freddy?
Little Princess : Yes, I am. But when playing time, Freddy was alone while I was with some friends. So I think it’s not a bad idea to go play with him. You see, I have a lot, he has none.
Mommy : Nice! How did your friends react?
Little Princess : They just kept silent.
Mommy : Now that you have ever played with Freddy, what do you think of him?
Little Princess : Actually he is a nice boy. He is not fussy, he is fun to play with.
Mommy : If so, then why others don’t want to play with him?
Little Princess : Because he writes very slow.
Mommy : Hmmm… no direct connection with playing, right? Any others?
Little Princess : He is dirty. Sometimes his mucus is all over his face.
Mommy : Oh… do you mind that?
Little Princess : Ehmmm… yes, it’s quite disgusting.
Mommy : As a friend, what do you think you should do?
Little Princess : Remind him? Advice him?
Mommy : Yes. And what do you think you can offer him?
Little Princess : Tissue?
Mommy : Bingo! You are such a smart sweet girl! You can take 1 pack for him tomorrow and my dear, beside tissue, actually you have offered him something more. You have offered him a sweet friendship.
Little Princess : Thanks, Mommy!

Happy 25th Aug'09 Birthday!

Kata orang “friendship isn’t a big thing… it’s a million little things!” Bagiku itu benar adanya. Kumpulan hal kecil yang dilakukan sahabat kita yang kalau kita pikir-pikir, benar-benar membuat perbedaan besar dalam hidup kita. Aku termasuk orang yang hanya punya beberapa teman dekat alias sahabat. Bagiku sahabat adalah someone special who shares secrets, laughter, dreams, and cares together; someone through good times and bad times. Jadi orangnya pasti ‘really carefully chosen’.

Hari ini adalah hari spesial salah seorang sahabatku. Dia orangnya low profile (hahaha...), jadi aku tak bisa sebut nama di sini dan sebagai penggantinya kupakai inisial Bn. This is what I want to say to you, my dearest friend:

Happy 27th Nov'09 Birthday!

Orang bilang "some people came to your life, left footprints, and you won't be the same anymore". Aku mengalami hal ini. Dalam hal persahabatan, aku selalu merasa being blessed. Teman dekatku hanya hitungan jari namun the value in the friendship is always a remarkable one.


Hari ini one of my best friend ulang tahun. Aku banyak belajar darinya, from formal knowledge till the most important one... life lessons. Dia banyak mengajarkan kepadaku tentang forgiving and toughness and what a friend is and she teaches me through actions. Beberapa kali saat my life was in turbulance, she was there. Keberadaannya sangat, sangat berarti and for that, I really thank you, my friend.
