Children are natural mimics who act like their parents despite every effort to teach them good manners.

Kids are very good in mimicking. They are quick learner of copying what they see or hear and then apply it directly. They act like sponge (and most of the time, they do look like SpongeBob Squarepants!) and absorb everything around, from the good to the bad. The first object to be copied is of course, the people around, especially parents. So don't worry that children never listen to us; worry that they are always watching us (Robert Fulghum).
I always believe that my most fantastic time of growing has been started since the first day I cuddle my baby and I know this will keep going on as I watch my baby grows. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.
When we see something not right in our kids, don’t judge but ask ourselves first, is it what we say, is it what we do, too? C. G. Jung in his book "Integration of the Personality" wrote “If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.”

So, Mommy & Daddy, watch your steps, your kids are watching you!!
